Memorial History of Georgia
We begin our journey with a visit to the Chronicles of Georgia, located just 25 minutes from the city center. This monumental stone complex is often called the “Georgian Stonehenge” or the “Georgian History Memorial.”
Designed by renowned artist Zurab Tsereteli and completed in 1985 during the Soviet era, the monument features 16 towering columns, each soaring up to 35 meters. The upper sections showcase Georgia’s most famous kings, queens, and national heroes, while the lower panels bring to life scenes from the country’s 3,000-year history.
From the site, visitors are treated to a stunning panoramic view of Tbilisi Sea, making it the perfect starting point for your exploration of Georgia’s rich history.

Our next stop is Sameba Cathedral, also known as the Holy Trinity Cathedral, often regarded as a symbol of modern Georgia. Rising majestically on St. Elia Hill, the cathedral reaches 101 meters, making it the tallest church in Georgia. Its grand scale and breathtaking beauty are truly impressive, and its golden dome can be seen from almost anywhere in Tbilisi.
