This monumental stone complex is often called the “Georgian Stonehenge” or the “Georgian History Memorial.” Designed by renowned artist Zurab Tsereteli and completed in 1985 during the Soviet era, the monument features 16 towering columns, each soaring up to 35 meters. The upper sections showcase Georgia’s most famous kings, queens, and national heroes, while the lower panels bring to life scenes from the country’s 3,000-year history.
