It is the largest palace in Brazil and one of the largest in Latin America, with 50,000 m² of built area and six floors, divided into 440 apartments and 13 large rooms up to 10 meters high. The dome of the Mauá hall became the second largest in the world, 30 m high and 50 m in diameter.
