By booking this experience in Valle del Tapir travelers will explore one of the most biodiversity-rich habitats in northern Costa Rica, renowned for its extraordinary diversity of tropical birds.
The tour is made by trails through wet forests, open areas and biological corridors, ideal environments for bird watching. Throughout the walk, our naturalist guides will help identify species by their song, behavior and visual characteristics, providing information about their ecology and their role in the ecosystem.
Among the species that can be observed in the area are toucans, trogons, oropéndolas, motmots, manakins, flycatchers and different species of thongs, as well as birds of prey and hummingbirds that frequent the forest and the edges of vegetation. The Tapir Valley is part of an important biological corridor, making it a prime spot for resident and migratory bird watching.
