Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is a protected natural reserve located about 45 minutes from central Dubai. Covering 225 square kilometers, it is the UAE’s first national park and home to native wildlife such as Arabian oryx, gazelles, and desert foxes. Al Qudra Lakes is a man-made oasis located within Dubai’s desert landscape, near the Al Marmoom area. Surrounded by sand dunes, the lakes are known for their peaceful scenery and diverse birdlife, including swans, flamingos, and other migratory species. From a hot air balloon at sunrise, the lakes may be visible as shimmering blue water contrasting beautifully against the golden desert terrain.
