Held within a Japanese teahouse and led by award-winning calligrapher and artist Rensui, this workshop starts off with an introduction to Suiboku-ga along with a live painting demonstration by Rensui. After this introduction, you will have hands-on experience brushing on the object you selected at booking and by the end of the workshop you will have created your own work of art to bring back home.

Experience the Japanese ink-wash painting technique of Suiboku-ga in a relaxing and comfortable environment while enjoying Japanese green tea during this hour-long workshop.
Suiboku-ga is a form of Sumi-e ink painting which uses washes of ink to create texture and contrast and is one of the only types of painting styles that does not use numerous layers of paint.
Suiboku-ga is said to be a painting technique from the heart, as its simplicity allows one's heart to be reflected directly in the painting. It is filled with the Japanese aesthetic sense and spirituality. In this workshop, you will learn the basic techniques of Suiboku-ga and embrace Zen spirit.
