Stirling castle: one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland. Most of the principal buildings of the castle date from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Several Scottish Kings and Queens have been crowned at Stirling, including Mary, Queen of Scots, in 1542, and others were born or died there.

Wallace Monument: In 1996 Tom Church carved a statue of Wallace called "Freedom", which was inspired by the film Braveheart.

The Battle of Bannockburn (1314) was a pivotal conflict during the First War of Scottish Independence. Scottish forces, led by King Robert the Bruce, decisively defeated the much larger English army under King Edward II. The victory secured Scotland's independence for a time and solidified Robert the Bruce's position as king. This battle remains a symbol of Scottish resilience and national pride.

The Kelpies-- 30-metre-high horse-head sculptures depicting kelpies, The sculptures were designed by sculptor Andy Scott and were completed in October 2013.The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of the Falkirk area

Doune Castle: Recent research has shown that Doune Castle was originally built in the thirteenth century, then probably damaged in the Scottish Wars of Independence.
