The Peristyle is the central ceremonial square of Diocletian’s Palace and one of the most impressive Roman spaces in Split. Surrounded by original Roman columns, it once served as the setting where Emperor Diocletian appeared before his subjects, and today it remains the heart of the old town.

This monumental statue of Gregory of Nin honors the medieval bishop who fought for the use of the Croatian language in church services. According to local tradition, touching the statue’s big toe brings good luck.

Located on the main square, St. Sebastian’s Church and its clock tower symbolize Trogir’s medieval urban identity. The clock tower was once essential for regulating daily life in the town.

The Kamerlengo Fortress is a 15th-century coastal fortress built during Venetian rule to protect Trogir from naval attacks. Today, it offers beautiful views over the old town, marina, and nearby islands, and stands as a symbol of Trogir’s strategic and maritime importance.

The Town Loggia was the public meeting place of medieval Trogir, where important decisions were announced and legal matters discussed. It reflects the city’s long tradition of civic life and self-governance.
