The temple of Poseidon, the ancient Greek god of the sea, dominates the southernmost tip of Attica, where the horizon meets the Aegean Sea. The lake is included in Greece's national NATURA 2000 network and as a Site of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the Ministry of Culture.  The lake is about 50 centimeters above sea level and so it is constantly overflowing and being replenished by the hot springs beneath it. The last stop is at the Greek tavernas for lunch which is not included in the tour price.There you can enjoy many varieties of Greek food.
