Canterbury Cathedral
Our city tour starts and ends outside the cathedral. Your guide will give you a rich insight into the role and importance of the cathedral in the city's history, it's dramatic past and the role it serves today.

Canterbury City Walls
When you're up on the city walls, you're running along 2,000 years of history. Hear all about how the walls went from primitive Roman defences to the fortified stone work that you see today.

Dane John Gardens
The highest point of the tour is on Dane John Mound, the mysterious hill in the city's central park. From here you can see most of the city and get a sense of it's scale and beauty.

Franciscan Gardens
You'll see some of the monastery buildings, established in 1267 and one of the prettiest spots in the city.

Westgate Gardens
Just outside the city walls are stunning Westgate Gardens. Here we cross the River Stour and pause by the giant Baobab plane tree. It's 200 years old and is hiding a remarkable secret.

Westgate Towers Museum & Viewpoint
The main entrance into the city, this medieval tower and gatehouse stands at an imposing 18 metres and is the oldest surviving surviving tower in Britain. Built in 1378, your guide will show you some of it's secrets and explain how it was the first sight many visitors would see on arrival to the city.
