Cape Coast Castle
1.The Castle Structure
A whitewashed, European-style fortress built by the Swedes in the 17th century.
Later taken over by the British, who expanded it into a major slave trading post.
2.The Male and Female Dungeons
Dark, damp underground cells where enslaved Africans were held—often for months—in horrific conditions
3.The "Door of No Return"
The infamous exit door that led enslaved people from the dungeons to ships waiting on the Atlantic.
Now a symbolic point of reflection—some versions now include a "Door of Return" plaque to welcome descendants back.

Kakum National Park
1. The Rainforest
Kakum is a tropical rainforest filled with lush green vegetation.
It’s home to over 300 species of birds, butterflies, and mammals, including:
Forest elephants (rarely seen)
Monkeys
Duikers (small antelope)
Various reptiles and insects
2. The Canopy Walkway (Main Highlight)
A world-famous canopy walkway suspended 30–40 meters (100–130 feet) above the forest floor.
Made of rope bridges and wooden planks connected by tree platforms.
Offers breathtaking views of the treetops, wildlife, and forest canopy.
One of only a few canopy walkways in Africa.
