Itinerary
1
Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park
Get to take a reverential walk to the river site where enslaved Africans had their last bath in African waters before leaving its shores across the Atlantic. In solidarity, dip your feet in the same river to get the experience felt by the ancestors. Visit the tombs of Madam Crystal and Samuel from Jamaica and USA respectively, whose mortal remains graced the shores of Ghana in 1998.
1 hour
2
Cape Coast Castle
After an interesting visit to the Smithsonian mounted museum here, take a tour of the castle through its dungeons and sections. Being a UNESCO World Heritage site it is one of the largest slave castles in the world.
