Battambang Provincial Hall
A former Battambang Provincial Hall and Royal Residence, it was constructed under the Thai occupation and initially planned by an Italian architect in 1905 before being taken over by the French before opening in 1907. It is very similar to the Chao Phya Abhaibhubejhr Building in Mueang Prachin Buri, Prachin Buri, Thailand. During the colonial era, the French used it as a provincial hall and governor's palace, followed by a school. It then served as Battambang's provincial hall until 2005, no entry to the building.

Hanging Bridge
It's a delightful, bouncing stroll across the Plov Thmey suspension bridge across the Sangkae River. And if you're concerned about the bridge's durability, motorcycles pass it every day. If you cross as a motorcycle approaches, simply keep walking. The walk will be shakier, but the bridge is broad enough to accommodate two bikes. On the other side, there is the serene Kampong Pil Pagoda.

Rice Paper And Spring Roll Restaurant
Many villages are located across from the major town of Battambang, providing the greatest introduction to Cambodia's rural core. Some of these communities demonstrate traditional "rice paper" production. This term refers to the thin, translucent covering of pounded and steamed rice used to wrap fresh spring rolls, not the paper used for artwork. This province is recognised as the Kingdom's rice bowl, thus there is enough of rice to create rice paper here. Traditionally, Battambang inhabitants utilised a steamer made of Cambodian buffalo skin to cook rice paper; however, the villagers now use just garment steamers, smoothing the rice bran over hot water.

Battambang Central Market
A traditional Battambang Market has a history dating back to the French colonial time. Specifically, it was developed in the 1930s under the auspices of the French Public Works Department as a regional commerce hub. It began as a gathering place for local farmers and businessmen to market their goods.

Killing Caves Of Phnom Sampeau
The Killing Caves, located near Phnom Sampov, serve as a sombre reminder of what happened there not long ago. The Khmer Rouge massacred hundreds of individuals at the top of the cave, allowing their remains to tumble into the darkness below.
Inside the cave, you'll discover a reclining gold Buddha and the remains of those who died here. When I arrived, there was also an elderly man sitting inside. Our tour guide said that he worked as a cook for the Khmer Rouge and was thus spared throughout the slaughter. He now looks after the monument, which is both sad and beautiful as a reminder of what he has gone through.

Battambang Bat Caves
Everyday, hundred of tourists assemble at sunset just down the road from Phnom Sampeau's Killing Caves to see an astonishing natural spectacle: the nightly migration of a massive colony of hungry wrinkle-lipped free-tailed bats.
The majority of spectators gather at the roadside taverns and vendors, which offer food and beverages (as well as cover). Standing so close to the cloud of flying animals pouring out of the cave is an amazing experience. The bats won't kill you—they're too busy chasing bugs to worry about you—but the swarm is so vast and fierce that you can feel the temperature rise as they fly overhead.
The bat population is so dense that clearing the cave might take up to 20 minutes. Once they're out, it's incredible to see the creatures speed over the sky. The swarms of flying bats seem to paint the air with flowing black forms, creating an array of spectacular visuals against a sky tinted with the last remnants of sunset colours.
