Slow arrival into the forest, Guests begin by walking gently into a natural area at a relaxed pace, leaving behind phones, schedules, and conversation where possible.
Guided slowing down, the guide may invite you to walk even more slowly than usual, sometimes pausing every few minutes. The point is to shift out of “getting somewhere” mode.
Sensory attention exercises, you’re prompted to notice what’s usually overlooked, such as: the texture of leaves or bark, patterns of light and shadow, sounds like wind, insects, or water, smells of soil, plants, or rain.
