In the chilly waters of Cape Town's coast, thrill seekers can come face-to-face with one of the ocean's most feared predators: great white sharks protected by the thick bars of an iron cage. No diving certification is needed since divers are enclosed in the custom-built cages. Those who prefer to observe these magnificent creatures from a distance can watch all the excitement from the boat. Shark cage diving is absolutely safe, and you need not have any diving experience at all. Just before you start, you’ll receive a short course on general safety and the use of the equipment then you’re set to go.
