Huis Zypendaal is a beautiful historic country house in Arnhem, surrounded by a peaceful estate and park. Built between 1762 and 1764 for the influential Brantsen family, it later became the home of Baron Aarnoud van Heemstra, Audrey Hepburn’s grandfather and former mayor of Arnhem. Audrey and her family stayed here when they first moved to Arnhem.

Sonsbeek Park is one of Arnhem’s most beautiful and beloved green spaces. Once a private country estate, it became a public park in 1899.
