This is the tour of the most ancient Etruscan and Roman Maremma which has remained intact over time. The Middle Ages are well represented both in Pitigliano and in Sovana. We explore Pitigliano, a city "excavated" in the tuff that stands on a natural platform. The city is called "Little Jerusalem" because it hosted an important Jewish community twice. Possibility to visit the Synagogue. Admission not included.
Guided walk in Sovana, an enchanted city and an authentic medieval village. We will see very ancient early medieval churches. Entrances not included.
