The Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots serves as a somber monument located at the site of a former WWII army base. It is a place of deep reflection, dedicated to honoring the lives of over 400 young soldiers who departed on "Special Attack" missions. The museum houses a moving collection of photographs, salvaged remnants of a Zero fighter, and heartfelt final letters written to families.
