Walk through the beautiful grounds of a historic Buddhist temple in Japan. Then enter a traditional tatami room and enjoy a live dance show featuring a Samurai and an Oiran.
After the show, guests take on the roles of Sukeroku and Oiran. The performers teach simple movements from the Oiran procession and a classic scene using a traditional Japanese pipe. Guests then act out the scene to music while following the performers.
The experience ends with a commemorative photo in the final Sukeroku and Oiran pose. Each guest also receives an original English-language guidebook.

Please enter Hondoji Temple through the Niomon Gate and walk straight along the approach for about 3 minutes. Our staff will be waiting for you at the gate marked “Reception” with a welcome board. Please meet us there at 12:30 PM.

نبذة
Walk through the beautiful grounds of a historic Buddhist temple in Japan. Then enter a traditional tatami room and enjoy a live dance show featuring a Samurai and an Oiran.

Follow our staff through the beautiful Japanese temple garden and along the peaceful approach to a traditional tatami room. Along the way, enjoy the seasonal scenery and atmosphere of Japanese culture.
In the tatami room, watch a Samurai and Oiran dance performance up close. After the show, become Sukeroku and Oiran and experience a scene from the story yourself.
The performers will teach you the movements from the Oiran procession to “Suitsuke Tabako,” the traditional pipe-passing scene. Then perform the scene to music while following their example.
