We start at 7:30 PM at Largo de São Francisco da Prainha, in the legendary port region of Rio. From there, we explore the stories and roots of this powerful area before arriving at Pedra do Sal, known as the birthplace of samba.
On Monday nights, Pedra do Sal comes alive with real street samba: live drums, locals dancing, cold drinks, and a unique atmosphere you simply can’t find anywhere else.

Our guide will tell you a bit about the history of Cais do Valongo, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and what it has in common with samba at Pedra do Sal.
