Travelers will explore the heart of historic Samarkand on a guided walking tour through some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
The experience begins at Gur-e-Amir, the мавзoleum of Amir Timur (Tamerlane). Travelers will discover the history of the Timurid Empire, admire the blue dome and detailed Islamic architecture, and hear stories about the rulers and legends connected to this place.
Next, guests will walk through the old streets toward Registan, the most iconic square in Uzbekistan. Travelers will learn about the three madrasahs, the role of science and education during the Timurid era, and enjoy panoramic views and photo opportunities in one of Central Asia’s most impressive architectural ensembles.
