Itinerary
1
Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo is one of the most important towns of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco. It is the only place that preserves its old Inca urban design.
1 hour
2
Pisac
Pisac was once the site of a vital Inca road which wound its way through the Sacred Valley to the borders of the eastern jungle. This made it an important connecting route for the Inca Empire and the city of Paucartambo– giving Inca Písac a strategic controlling point.
1 hour
3
Salinas de Maras
the ancient salt pans, known as Salineras de Maras. Strategically dug into the mountainside, thousands of shallow pools filled with salt water eventually evaporate and leave behind the crystallized salt, a process that has been practiced for more than 500 years.
1 hour
4
Moray
“Moray Agricultural Laboratory.” It consists of amazing circular terraces that look like rings. They were used to cultivate and acclimate agricultural crops such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, kiwicha, winter and summer squash, and even coca.

Chinchero
Cultural Importance
Chinchero is famous for its traditional weaving communities.
Women in colorful attire demonstrate ancestral textile techniques, using natural dyes and looms. The Sunday market is one of the most authentic in the region, where locals exchange goods in a tradition of barter (trueque).
