Starting from Kigali as early as 5 AM, your journey to Musanze (Ruhengeri) offers a scenic drive through Rwanda’s stunning landscapes. Along the way, you’ll pass by towering mountains and vibrant local communities going about their daily lives, giving you a glimpse into rural Rwandan life.

You’ll start your day early, trekking through the beautiful rainforest. As you hike, you’ll see some stunning landscapes and might spot various plants and animals along the way. After an unforgettable morning spent trekking to see the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, we will take a short ride to Iby’iwacu Cultural Village. Here, you will experience Rwanda’s rich traditions through lively dance performances, a visit to a replica king’s palace, and time with local artisans who share their crafts and stories. After the cultural visit, we will continue to Musanze town for a well-deserved lunch featuring authentic Rwandan cuisine. Then we begin our scenic drive back to Kigali, which takes around three hours, passing through the peaceful countryside and rolling hills. It is a relaxing way to end a powerful and memorable day.
