Palais royal de Madrid
On a 2-hour daytime tour of the Royal Palace of Madrid, travellers will pass through its grand forecourt, enter the palace via Sabatini’s Main Staircase, and explore a curated selection of the most spectacular state rooms — the Throne Room with its Tiepolo ceiling frescoes; the Hall of Mirrors; the ornate Gasparini Room; the Royal Chapel; and rich displays of art, tapestries and royal armoury showing weapons and armour from centuries past. The guide will explain the symbolism in décor and royal history, and there’s time at the end to enjoy views from the Sabatini Gardens or surrounding plazas.
