Fontana del Pantheon
In front of the Pantheon stands the beautiful Fontana del Pantheon, a marble fountain designed in 1575 by Giacomo della Porta. At its center rises the ancient Egyptian Obelisco Macuteo, added during an 18th-century restoration by Filippo Barigioni. The fountain features dolphins, masks, and elegant Baroque details. Set in the lively Piazza della Rotonda, it offers a perfect view of the Pantheon and a picturesque spot for photos, street performances, or simply relaxing on the steps while enjoying the unique atmosphere of historic Rome.
