Your Rainbow Mountain day tour starts with early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., we’ll begin our scenic drive heading south. Along the way, travelers will enjoy views of peaceful Andean valleys and traditional Peruvian villages nestled in the mountains

In the charming town of Cusipata, you’ll stop to enjoy a nutritious buffet breakfast—perfect preparation for your high-altitude hike. Our expert tour team will answer all your questions and help you get ready for the adventure. The crisp mountain air here is invigorating and sets the tone for the day’s experience.

Vinicunca
After breakfast, we’ll continue by van to Fullawasipata (4626 m.a.s.l), where your hiking journey to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) begins. The 4-km trail is surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes, colorful valleys, alpacas, and native flora. After approximately 1.5 hours of hiking, we’ll reach the summit at 5200 meters, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the Seven Color Mountain. Our certified guide will explain the unique geology, mineral layers, and cultural significance of this natural wonder.

After descending from the majestic Rainbow Mountain, we’ll return to Cusipata to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring authentic Andean cuisine.
