Sintra
About
Sintra considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site among so many landscapes, the stunning Quinta da Regaleira is one of the most incredible monuments of the Serra de Sintra. Situated at the end of the historic center of the village, it was built between 1904 and 1910, in the last period of the monarchy. The romantic domains that belonged to the Viscountess of Regaleira were acquired and expanded by Dr. António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro (1848-1920) to found their place of choice. We continue to travel to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe, "where the land ends and the sea begins", in the words of Camões.

Cabo da Roca
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of Portugal and Europe. Visitable, not to the extreme but to an area at an altitude of 140 m, this is one of Portugal's best known capes and forms the western end of the Sintra Mountains, precipitating over the Atlantic Ocean.
