the step pyramid,
The architect Imhotep created for his ruler from about 2650 BC. a tomb in the form of a staircase to heaven. Today the building is 62.5 meters high and is the only one of the pyramids that does not have a square floor plan.
The term step pyramid refers to a pyramid-like building with a stepped cubature.

Since the pyramids of Dahshur were in a military restricted area for a long time and were only opened to the public in the mid-1990s, they are still relatively unknown and still an insider tip among Egyptian sights.
