Pula Private Yugoslav History Tour in a Vintage Zastava 101
Pula
À propos
Most tours show you the Arena and the Forum. La Yugo Vita takes you somewhere completely different.
You ride in a restored 1979 Zastava 101 — the Stojadin — through the Yugoslav-era history of Pula with a local guide who knows the city from the inside. The shipyard that employed thousands. The workers' housing built as part of the socialist deal. Military zones still closed off today. A former army centre now home to artists and activists.
The car is part of the experience. It turns heads everywhere it goes. People on the street stop and share their own memories of the same model. That does not happen on any other tour in Pula.
Best suited for: couples, small groups of friends, history en...

Éléments | Pula Private Yugoslav History Tour in a Vintage Zastava 101
Hop into a restored 1979 Zastava 101 and discover the side of Pula that most visitors never find.
La Yugo Vita is a private two hour ride through the Yugoslav era history of the city. Your driver knows Pula from the inside, and the stories you will hear are not in any guidebook.
The route takes you past the Uljanik shipyard, through Veruda where workers were given apartments as part of the socialist system, and along the coast to a military gate that never really opened. Brijuni sits across the water just ahead, close enough to see, impossible to reach.
The Stojadin's engine sounds like something between a sewing machine and a tractor. People on the street wave, smile, and occasionally stop to share their own memories of the same model. That does not happen on a minibus tour.
At some point during the ride, if you want it, you can take the wheel yourself.
Every ride ends back where it started. You will take a small souvenir home and a version of Pula that most visitors completely miss.
