Umbrella Street
You will experience the sights and sounds of Puerto Plata's Umbrella Street while enjoying many photo opportunities. You can step into a shop, enjoy a cup of Dominican grown, organic coffee, watch as our famous Dominican cigars are rolled or simply stroll this colorful street.

Fortaleza San Felipe
Once at Fort San Felipe, your host will provide you information regarding Puerto Plata's colonial era and pirate-past. You will also learn of Queen Victoria's special relationship with Puerto Plata before having a bit of time to explore the grounds and take photos.

Parque Central Independencia
Once at Puerto Plata's historic center - Parque Independencia or "Central Park" - you will discover Victorian architecture and learn of the Dominican Republic's Restoration Period and Gregorio Luperon, a central figure in the Dominican Republic's fight for independence. You will visit the Cathedral as well as have a small amount of free-time for photos or to visit a shop in the immediate area.

Malecon Puerto Plata
After leaving Puerto Plata's historic center, you will drive along the Atlantic boardwalk called the, Malecon. Your host will tell the humorous story of Neptune's Statue set on an islet just off the coast and you will have time for photos before continuing along the Malecon.

Golden Beach (Playa Dorada)
After making your way through a bustling area of Puerto Plata, you will make a brief facilities stop at Playa Dorada as well as refresh your cup of complimentary rum punch before continuing on to the Dominican countryside.

Tubagua
Upon leaving Playa Dorada, you will make your way into the Dominican countryside glimpsing a way of life reflective of a bygone era. Your host will provide you fascinating information regarding life in the countryside as you pass by colorful, typical houses and small colmados. You will make photo stops as well as stop at a local colmado which is like an old-fashion, corner store which also plays a central role within each small community acting as the local canteen and social gathering place including intense Dominos tournaments. With pesos provided by your host, you will experience making a small purchase at a colmado. Continuing up the mountain road, your next stop will be an area with an incredible valley view.

Golden Beach (Playa Dorada)
After making the scenic mountain and countryside drive return, you will have a brief amount of time at Playa Dorada to refresh your rum punch, take a stroll along the beach boardwalk or use the facilities. You will then make the return to your port.

Paseo de Dona Blanca
Paseo de Dona Blanca, also known as "Pink Street", is in honor of Doña Blanca Rainieri a woman who was greatly committed to her family and her community. This colorful alley way of façades represents the famous Victorian houses of Puerto Plata and is one of the most visited and photographed areas.
