Laguna de Guatavita
El parque tiene un gran atractivo para los visitantes nacionales y extranjeros que es el turismo contemplativo, en donde se encierra el embrujo de la Leyenda del Dorado, la cual, a través de la historia a contado los rituales que realizaban los indígenas a sus dioses bañándose en oro y sumergiéndose en la laguna para ofrendar así sus más valiosos tesoros. Al llegar a la laguna y durante un recorrido de dos horas un guía de parques nativo de habla inglesa o en español se une al grupo para explicar la cultura de los indios muiscas, la leyenda de El Dorado y la importancia biológica del área durante aproximadamente 75 minutos, incluyendo una caminata de 30 minutos a lo largo de un camino hacia el borde del cráter para ver la laguna de Guatavita. caminando por la reserva escuchando la historia de la leyenda de “El Dorado” y la cultura de los indios muiscas.
