Itinerary
1
Zona Arqueologica de Muyil
This guided visit will introduce you to one of the biggest archeological sites in the Sian Ka'an reserve. Walking by this nature trail you will learn about the diversity of the flora and fauna of the tropical rainforest. At the end of the trail you will climb up to the 19 meter high view point. From there you can observe the different types of ecosystems of the reserve: the tropical forest, the lagoons, mangroves and the so-calledpeténes (ecological microsystems of isle-shaped flat fields near the sea).
We will take a boat trip tour through the crystal and turquoise lagoons until we reach the Xtlapak ruin where we will float into an ancient Mayan canal built more than a thousand years ago, and we will let the soft current carry us for about 35 minutes enjoying the tranquility and the gentle sound of the wind.
After a couple of hours you will make your way back to your hotel.
