Explore the ancient city of Priene. Once a member of the Ionian League, the city prospered under the Romans & Byzantines. Restoration has brought this ancient city back to life & you will have the opportunity to witness one of the best example of original Greek town planning and architecture. Several stunning ruins still stand today such as the Mausoleum of Helicarnassus, The Temple of Athena & the ancient theatre with the original stage building & seats.
