Diocletian's Palace
Guests will explore Diocletian’s Palace, the historic heart of Split and one of the best-preserved Roman palace complexes in the world. The guide will explain how the palace was built as the retirement residence of Emperor Diocletian and how it later transformed into a living city.
The walk begins near the bronze model of Split Old Town, where guests get an introduction to the layout of the ancient palace. The route continues through the central part of the palace substructures, built to support the emperor’s private apartments above. Guests then visit the Peristyle, the ceremonial centre of the palace, and see the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, the bell tower and the Temple of Jupiter from the outside.
The tour also includes the Vestibule, Golden Gate, the statue of Gregory of Nin, Pjaca Square and Fruit Square, before returning toward the Riva promenade. This stop connects Roman imperial history, medieval Split and the living old town of today.

Ancient Salona
Guests will explore the ruins of ancient Salona, once the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia and one of the most important cities on the eastern Adriatic. The guide will explain how Salona developed into a major Roman urban centre with city walls, gates, streets, public buildings, residential areas and an impressive amphitheatre.
Special attention will be given to Salona’s early Christian heritage, including cemeteries, basilicas, martyrs and bishops who made the city an important religious centre before the rise of medieval Split. Depending on time and accessibility, the visit may include Manastirine, Tusculum, the Episcopal Centre, the theatre area and views of the amphitheatre.

The guided walk begins near the North Gate and continues toward the main square, where guests will see the Cathedral of Saint Lawrence and the famous Radovan Portal from the outside, together with the town loggia, clock tower and surrounding historic buildings. The guide will explain Trogir’s development from antiquity through the Middle Ages and its importance as a centre of trade, art and architecture.
