Circus Maximus
The Circus Maximus (Latin for "largest circus"; Italian: Circo Massimo) is an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium and mass entertainment venue in Rome, Italy. In the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills, it was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome and its later Empire. It measured 621 m (2,037 ft) in length and 118 m (387 ft) in width and could accommodate over 150,000 spectators. In its fully developed form, it became the model for circuses throughout the Roman Empire. The site is now a public park.

Panthéon
The Pantheon (UK: /ˈpænθiən/, US: /-ɒn/;[1] Latin: Pantheum,[nb 1] from Greek Πάνθειον Pantheion, "[temple] of all the gods") is a former Roman temple and since 609 AD, a Catholic church (Basilica di Santa Maria ad Martyres or Basilica of St. Mary and the Martyrs), in Rome, Italy, on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). It was rebuilt by the emperor Hadrian and probably dedicated c. 126 AD. Its date of construction is uncertain, because Hadrian chose not to inscribe the new temple but rather to retain the inscription of Agrippa's older temple, which had burned down.

Place du Peuple
La Piazza del Popolo est une grande place urbaine de Rome. Son nom en italien moderne signifie littéralement « Place du Peuple », mais historiquement, il dérive des peupliers (populus en latin, pioppo en italien), d'où son nom à l'église Santa Maria del Popolo, située à l'angle nord-est de la place.
La place se trouve à l'intérieur de la porte nord du mur d'Aurélien, autrefois la Porta Flaminia de la Rome antique, aujourd'hui appelée Porta del Popolo. C'était le point de départ de la Via Flaminia, la route menant à Ariminum (aujourd'hui Rimini) et la voie la plus importante vers le nord. Avant l'ère du chemin de fer, c'était également le premier aperçu de Rome pour le voyageur à son arrivée. Pendant des siècles, la Piazza del Popolo fut le lieu d'exécutions publiques, la dernière ayant eu lieu en 1826.
