Your driver and guide will meet you at Shanghai Pudong International Airport and start your tour. It takes approximately 1 hour by private vehicle from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Yu Garden.

First, head to Yu Garden (closed on Mondays). Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, Yu Garden is a private classical garden featuring traditional elements such as rockeries, Taihu stones, brick carvings, and wooden structures. Stroll through the garden to see the distinctive layout and traditional landscaping techniques of a Jiangnan garden.

Next, visit Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, one of Shanghai’s major commercial areas. Along the street, you will see large shopping malls, brand stores, and historic buildings, offering a glimpse into Shanghai’s mix of traditional streetscapes and modern commerce.

Then, continue to the Bund, an open waterfront promenade along the Huangpu River. The riverside is lined with dozens of historic European-style buildings, forming the famous Bund architectural heritage. From the waterfront, you can look directly across the river to the skyscrapers of Lujiazui, making it a great spot for photographing Shanghai’s iconic skyline.

Finally, head to Shanghai Tower and visit the observation deck on the 118th floor. Standing 632 meters tall, Shanghai Tower is one of China’s most prominent supertall buildings. From the 118th floor, you can enjoy unobstructed panoramic views of Shanghai through the circular glass walls, with landmarks such as the Huangpu River, the Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower, and Jin Mao Tower all visible below.

After the tour, your private vehicle will take you back to Shanghai Pudong International Airport for your onward flight.
