The Spanish Steps are one of the most iconic places in Rome. Built in the 18th century, the staircase connects Piazza di Spagna with the church of Trinità dei Monti above. At the bottom you can see the famous Barcaccia Fountain, designed by Pietro Bernini and his son Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The area is also known for luxury shopping streets such as Via Condotti. During this stop we will talk about the history of the square and its importance in Roman life, art and fashion.

Villa Borghèse
We start tour inside the beautiful Villa Borghese park, one of the largest green areas in Rome. From the Pincio terrace you will enjoy one of the most famous panoramic views of the city overlooking Piazza del Popolo and the historic center. This peaceful location is the perfect place to introduce the history of Rome, from the Roman Empire to the Renaissance and modern times. While surrounded by gardens, fountains and historic villas, you will get a first understanding of the geography of the Eternal City before we begin exploring its streets and monuments.

Place Navone
Piazza Navona is one of the most beautiful Baroque squares in Rome. Built on the site of the ancient Stadium of Domitian, it still preserves the shape of the Roman arena. The square is famous for the Fountain of the Four Rivers designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, representing four great rivers of the world. In front of it stands the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. Today Piazza Navona is full of artists, cafés and street life, making it one of the most lively and picturesque places in the city.

The Janiculum Hill offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Rome. From this terrace you can admire the skyline of the Eternal City with its domes, churches and monuments stretching across the horizon. Nearby stands the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, a monumental baroque fountain often called “Il Fontanone”. The hill is also connected to the history of the Italian unification and the hero Giuseppe Garibaldi.
