Upon arrival at the welcome lounge at 12:00pm, you will receive a refreshment before being transferred to your Game Lodge at Sanbona. Then you will be shown to the dining room for lunch. After lunch it is time to check-in at your accommodation. In the evening you will be taken for a game drive amid spectacular displays of light as the evening sun sets over the Little Karoo. Game drives are 3 - 3.5 hours and led by a qualified game ranger in a comfortable open Landcruiser 4x4 Truck. During the drive, you will be able to see many different species of plants, animals, big game and birds. Upon your return, you will be greeted with some pre-dinner drinks and a delicious dinner at the lodge before retiring for the night.
Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is a private reserve and cannot be compared to larger Safaris like Kruger National Park. Private Wildlife or Game Reserves have a limit to the number of animals they are allowed to have on their game farm.
