Itinerary
1
Beirut
8:30 AM — Pickup from your Beirut hotel
Your driver meets you at your hotel and heads north along the coastal highway before climbing into the beautiful Lebanese mountains — the scenery becoming more dramatic with every kilometre as you head toward the north.
2
Qadisha Valley
Qadisha Valley — a UNESCO World Heritage wonder
Arrive at the rim of the magnificent Qadisha Valley — one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in Lebanon and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sheer limestone walls of the gorge drop hundreds of metres to the valley floor below, dotted with ancient monastery caves and hermitages that Christian communities carved into the rock face over seventeen centuries. Qadisha means "Holy" in Aramaic — a name that this sacred valley has fully earned. Your driver points out the monastery caves visible in the cliff face and shares the remarkable story of the communities who chose this dramatic landscape as their spiritual home. Multiple photo stops along the rim give you the best possible views.
3
Kahlil Gibran Museum
Khalil Gibran Museum — Lebanon's most beloved poet
Visit the museum dedicated to Khalil Gibran — Lebanon's most celebrated writer, philosopher, and painter, whose book The Prophet has sold over 100 million copies and been translated into more than 100 languages. Housed in a beautifully restored former Carmelite monastery carved into the cliff above Bcharre, the museum contains a wonderful collection of Gibran's original paintings, watercolours, drawings, and personal manuscripts. His tomb is here in the cave chapel at the heart of the monastery — exactly where he asked to be buried, returning to the mountain village that shaped his extraordinary life and work. A genuinely touching and inspiring visit.

The Cedars of God
Cedars of God — walking among Lebanon's ancient giants
Walk among the Cedars of God — a UNESCO-protected grove of magnificent ancient cedar trees at 2,000 metres above sea level, some over 1,000 years old with trunks measuring more than 14 metres in circumference. These remarkable trees are the descendants of the vast cedar forests that once covered the Lebanese mountains — the same trees whose timber built Phoenician ships, Solomon's Temple, and the great palaces of Egypt. A 45-minute gentle walk through the grove at your own pace — the mountain air is fresh and cool, the scenery is magnificent, and the sense of being in the presence of something ancient and living is genuinely special. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Bsharri
Lunch in Bcharre — optional
A relaxing lunch break at one of Bcharre's welcoming mountain restaurants — generous Lebanese mezze, grilled meats, and fresh mountain bread served with wonderful views over the Qadisha Valley. A lovely way to recharge before the final stop of the day.

Deir Qozhaya
Monastery of Saint Anthony of Kozhaya — carved into the cliff
Descend into the Qadisha Valley for the day's most atmospheric and most memorable final stop. The Monastery of Saint Anthony of Kozhaya is one of Lebanon's oldest and most venerated monasteries — founded in the 12th century and carved directly into the limestone cliff face of the valley wall. Cave chapels, ancient stone cells, and the peaceful silence of the gorge create a wonderfully serene atmosphere that stays with every visitor long after they leave. Inside, two remarkable treasures await — a cave sanctuary that has been a place of pilgrimage for over eight centuries, and the first printing press ever used in the Middle East, brought here by Maronite monks in the 16th century. Your driver shares the full story of this extraordinary place.
