About
Tulou, or Earthen Buildings, in Fujian, is a renowned World Heritage. This overnight private tour will let you explore both Nanjing and Yongding Tulou castles with a local guide from Xiamen. You will view the earthe buildings in the old Hakka villages, and overnight in a Tulou guesthouse as well.
Pick up from your centrally locate Xiamen hotel at 8am, and take a 3-hour scenic car ride to Tianluokeng hakka cluster, which is located in Shuyang Town. You will take a bird-view on the top of the mountain for the old Tulou Castle, which is composed primarily of four round houses plus one rectangular earthen house, that is why it is named 4 dishes and 1 soup as one of the most magnificent and well- preserved hakka houses here.
After having a traditional Hakka lunch at Tianluokeng Hakka house, roaming in the village to see their daily lives.
Then you will head to Xiaban Village to visit Yuchanglou(leaning structure hakka house), then move to the Taxia village that is one of the beautiful villages built along a stream. Exlpore Zhang's clan ancestral hall in the village, which is listed among the key culture relics protected under national level.
Later, you will check in at the Tulou guesthouse.
