Known as the "City of a Thousand Temples," Kanchipuram is famous for its magnificent temples, rich spiritual heritage, and world-renowned silk sarees woven with intricate gold zari work.

• Most temples close between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
• Photography is generally not permitted inside temple sanctums.
• Modest attire is recommended when visiting places of worship.
