Clothing & Footwear: Wear sturdy, waterproof hiking boots (insulated for winter) and adaptable layers (avoid cotton). Bring an extra base layer to change into for the return journey. Check weather conditions before departure.

Personal Gear: Please bring a small daypack, sun protection, and a reusable water bottle (refills provided).
•
Technical Gear: We provide hiking poles and microspikes/ice cleats if needed. USB-A charging ports are available in the van—please bring your own cable.

THE EXPERIENCE: Experience the peaceful quiet of a Kananaskis winter on this two-part journey through pristine wilderness. We begin the day on snowshoes, navigating pine-forested trails to reach open alpine vistas away from the crowds. Following a midday break, we swap our snowshoes for ice cleats to trek toward frozen waterfalls tucked into the limestone cliffs off the beautiful Highway 40.
