Highway 40: The day's adventure takes us onto Highway 40, south towards Highwood Pass – the highest paved road in Canada at 2,206m. Single lane in each direction and much quieter than the main highway to Banff, the drive along the route is world-class – offering towering mountain views on all sides and frequent wildlife sightings.
