Afous Argan
Your excursion begins with a comfortable departure at approximately 08:00 AM from your Marrakech accommodation in an air-conditioned vehicle with an experienced English-speaking driver. After about two hours of driving, you will stop in the endemic Argan forest to witness the incredible sight of goats climbing trees to eat the fruit, followed by an optional visit to a local women's Argan oil cooperative to learn how this "liquid gold" is produced for culinary and cosmetic use. After another 45 minutes of travel, you will arrive at the main attraction, the Medina of Essaouira, where you will have free time to explore the historic UNESCO-listed streets, visit the bustling fishing port for fresh seafood, and walk the iconic seaside ramparts at your own pace before the return journey.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive across the Haouz plains, stopping to see the famous "climbing goats" in the Argan trees and visiting a traditional women’s oil cooperative to see how Morocco’s "liquid gold" is made. Upon arrival at the main attraction, the Medina of Essaouira, you will have free time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, walk the ancient "Skala de la Ville" sea walls with their 18th-century cannons, and visit the bustling fishing port filled with iconic blue boats. You can enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the ocean and stroll along the wide sandy beach before a comfortable, air-conditioned drive back to your accommodation in Marrakech.
