Jeita Grotto
Jeita Grotto — UNESCO tentative site · New 7 Wonders finalist
Two cave systems, two completely different experiences. The upper cave on foot — stalactites and stalagmites up to 8 metres tall, formed over millions of years into formations of extraordinary scale and beauty. The lower cave by silent electric boat — gliding along an underground river through chambers of absolute stillness. One of the most spectacular natural experiences in the Middle East, 30 minutes from Beirut.
Entrance fee payable on site. Photography not permitted inside. Lower cave boat ride may close during high water seasons.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon
Our Lady of Lebanon — the mountaintop shrine
The 8.5-metre bronze statue of Our Lady of Lebanon — arms outstretched toward the Mediterranean, one of the most visited religious monuments in the Middle East. The Maronite Basilica and neighbouring churches surround it. Panoramic views over the entire Lebanese coast. Revered by Christians and Muslims alike.

Baatara Gorge Waterfall
Baatara Gorge Waterfall — Lebanon's most spectacular natural formation
Nothing prepares you for Baatara. A path through pine forest leads to a viewing platform at the rim of a natural limestone sinkhole — and there, 255 metres below, a waterfall drops through three natural stone bridges carved by millions of years of erosion, disappearing into a cavern carved by the same forces. The Baatara Gorge is one of the most extraordinary geological formations in the Middle East — the waterfall feeds an underground river that eventually surfaces kilometres away, and the entire structure was carved by water alone over millions of years. Best visited between February and May when the waterfall is at full flow, but spectacular year-round. Your driver covers the geological story and the local significance of this remarkable site throughout the visit.
