Meet your guide at the Acropolis metro station to begin your tour. You'll first explore the Acropolis hill. On your way up, check out the Dionysus Theater, where they used to perform ancient dramas and tragedies. Walk around the impressive Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the sanctuary of the healing god Asclepius. At the hill's top, visit the Propylea, the Temple of Nike, the Erechtheion Temple, and, of course, the Parthenon – a symbol of democracy and Western civilization. These monuments from the 5th century B.C showcase the greatness of ancient Athens and the Golden Age of Pericles.
