Ston
As a cherry on top of a cake comes the town of Ston, the “oyster capital” of Croatia. Especially interesting are the magnificent 5-km long walls surrounding the town –
the longest defense walls after the Great Wall of China, and its ancient salt pans where the salt is still produced the same way as back in the time of the Dubrovnik Republic, as well as the time of the Romans, who built them.
