It began in 1959 as a roadside fruit stand and has grown into a vast market specializing in rare and exotic tropical fruits, many grown on their own farms. Beyond the incredible produce and famous fruit milkshakes, it features an animal farm with various animals (including an aviary with exotic birds) for visitors to enjoy and often hand-feed, making it a popular stop for families. They also host live music on weekends.

Wild Bird Sanctuary - Florida Keys Wild Bird Center
he Florida Keys Wild Bird Center in Tavernier, FL, at MM 93.6 bayside, is a renowned sanctuary and hospital dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing native and migratory wild birds. Injured or displaced birds receive expert care, with those unable to return to the wild living out their lives in spacious enclosures as "ambassadors." Visitors can stroll boardwalks through mangrove habitats, observing a variety of species up close, learning about conservation, and enjoying the natural beauty.
