We depart early Morning at 5:30 AM, we drive towards Nizwa we first visit the Friday Cattle Market. Friday sees the ancient Omani capital of Nizwa come to life for the weekly livestock market where farmers and traders arrive from as far afield as Salalah with their animals to barter and trade at one of the finest traditional markets in the Middle East. See a Middle Eastern market operating in much the same way it might have done for centuries, with sheep, goats and cattle all traded alongside local honey and dates.

Next is the large Nizwa Souq, a local marketplace that offers a variety of goods including jewelry, pottery, fish, and meats.

The next we will visit to the famous Nizwa Fortress. The fort is a museum that showcases the history of the fort and surrounding area. Walking through the fortress you get to see amazing views of the ancient town and the nearby mountains. This impressive fortress was a base used in the military to hold off the hardest attacks and sieges.

The list goes on! After, we drive to the foot of Jebel Akhdar, an old village called Birkat Al Mauz,

Then after visit the Irrigation System of Al Kattmyn, one of the 5 irrigation system heritage by UNESCO.

From there we go up to Jebel Akhdar. Also known as the Green Mountain, Jebel Akhdar houses many fruit plantations and rose gardens. Take the time to walk through the hills and cherish the valley views. There is a lot Jebel Akhdar has to offer.

Then next is Dianna's Viewpoint, the rim of the cliff here, with its celebrated panoramic view of the farmed terraces below, has a royal connection. Diana, Princess of Wales, enjoyed this spot on a royal visit to Oman with the future British king in 1986. The tourist office receives numerous enquiries about the location, a point not lost on two neighboring hotels that both encircle a potential viewpoint. They may be capitalizing on Diana's memory, but this doesn't detract from the spectacular vista. then drive back to Muscat.
