Your journey from Pointe-à-Pitre takes you through the lush countryside of the island of Basse-Terre to the rhum distillery, home of Guadeloupe’s famous rum. Enjoy a narrated sightseeing drive as your guide unfolds the history of Guadeloupe in a lively and interactive discussion. Upon arrival at the estate, you will be welcomed with sugar cane juice and pieces of sugar cane to snack on.

Capesterre-Belle-Eau
Take a step back in time and get a glimpse of how Guadeloupe was 300 years ago. Visit to a functional historical plantation where your guide will be given a tour. Discover what goes into the French island’s rum distilling process, followed by the opportunity to taste authentic rums and liqueurs. While here, you will be able to purchase your favorite flavors at excellent prices (not included).

Capesterre-Belle-Eau
The tour ends with a visit to the archipelago’s only rum producer specializing in the ageing of rums. The in-house guide will take you on a tour of the ageing cellar and bottling area to show you the long process of ageing distillates, the work of the cellar master and the production of amber, golden and old rums. The tour ends with a guided tasting session with the in-house guide or your guide, during which you can sample the aged rums of your choice.
