Discover the most authentic Molise by pedaling in nature! After a very short briefing on the e-bike functions, we will set off towards the rural church of San Domenico located at the intersection of the two ancient sheep tracks, the ancient green roads of transhumance.
We will follow a municipal road little frequented by cars and, after skirting the railway and the railway station of the mythical "Trans-Siberian of Italy", we will resume the journey heading towards the village of Castiglione, now a hamlet of Carovilli, to visit the Church of San Nicola from Bari. Then we will move to the hill to admire the enchanting church, called 'Ammond Church' by the locals.

Chiesa di San Nicola
The church of San Nicola in Castiglione is a valuable example of religious architecture inserted in a naturalistic context of great value. Although it was definitively abandoned in 1947, you can visit its remains and look out over the whole of Upper Molise from the bell tower.

The rural church of San Domenico is strongly linked to transhumance and is located at the confluence of two sheep tracks, the ancient green streets narrated by Gabriele D'Annunzio on which the flocks moved.
